For those who did not know before, Israel showed its true
colours when it attacked the Liberty Flotilla carrying 10000 tons of aid to
Gaza.
The 1.5 million Palestinians living in Gaza under siege has
to smuggle everything, from food and medicine to even needles.The Flotilla was carrying a much needed
supplies, and many sympathisers with the Palestinians, including politicians
from Germany, Turkey and Egypt.The
Flotilla was not armed, did not pose danger to the security of Israel. Israel
could have intercepted the Flotilla Gaza’s waters, and forced it to turn back.
Or even better, they could have taken the supplies, checked
it for weapons and passed it on to the Palestinians.They did not do that, but they attacked the
ship carrying the most passengers at night and before dawn, when they were in
international waters, 130 Km from the shores of Gaza.They did not just stop the ships or fire a
warning, but they attacked by armed commandos dropped from military Helicopters.
The surprise was that the passengers resisted the attack – as
if one should not resist being attacked without warning in international waters
- and the Israeli soldiers had to fire at them in self defence, killing and
injuring tens of civilians.This is
because Israel has the right to attack any ship sailing in the sea, and why not
when Israel is above the Law and will find the USA coming to its defence.
Perhaps these civilians are the real heroes who managed to
fight Israel and we should be proud of them when we pray for them.These civilians did what many politicians did
not do, and they should have done.
I hope that if these supplies do not get to Gaza, that one
good thing will come out of this incident.I hope that this incident will truly remove the mask of the face of the
state of Israel, showing its true colours, and showing it for what it is, a
state of murderers, liars and thieves.
Is it not time for the siege of these 1.5 million Palestinians
to be ended, and for them to be allowed to live humanly.Their crime was to vote for Hamas and get
them in government.Is this not democracy,
or does democracy have to bring regimes the USA and west like in power.
