HIS TRUST OF ALLAH

“YOU HAVE AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE IN ALLAH’S MESSENGER”

HIS TRUST OF ALLAH

Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him had all his trust in Allah the Highest.  He trusted that whenever Allah the Highest promised him something, this will be fulfilled, no doubt.  This is the Certainty which is one of the characteristics of the poise about whom Allah the Highest said: AND ARE CERTAIN OF THE HEREAFTER”.

Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him trusted Allah promises relating to this life and the Hereafter.  As for the Hereafter, it was to do with the Resurrection, Judgement, the Hereafter and the Paradise and Hellfire.  As for the this life, Allah the Highest promised the believers who are sincere in their belief and worship of Allah the Highest with many things like support against the disbelievers, saying: “IT IS A DUTY UPON US TO SUPPORT THE BELIEVERS”.

Also to support them against the disbelievers, saying: “IS ALLAH NOT SUFFICIENT FOR HIS SLAVE AND THEY THREATEN YOU WITH THIS BELOW HIM”,

“WE WILL PROTECT YOU FROM THOSE WHO MOCK YOU”.

Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him did not fear for his life after receiving those verses of the Quran.  He used to go to places and site and sleep without guard, for
Allah’s protection is sufficient.  Even when migrating in secrete from Mecca to Medina.  Soraqa who was at the time a disbeliever and was a good tracker, followed Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him hoping to catch his and get the 100 camels prize the disbelievers had on his head alive or dead.  When he could see Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him, he found that Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him was walking straight looking in front of him, while Abu Baker was looking around and walking around Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him.  This show his trust in Allah’s promise to him.

Indeed, Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him gave Soraqa a written promise he dictated to Abu Baker, giving his safety when the Muslims take over and also promising him the Persian emperor’s bracelets.  Such was Allah’s messenger trust in Allah’s promises to him to prevail and for the Muslims to take over the land of Persia.  This trust did not shake even when he was escaping with his life from Mecca.  Omar Ibn El-Khatab give Soraqa the bracelets of Kesra the Persian Emperor when the Muslims who conquered Persia sent them to him.

Allah the Highest promised the believers to replace the money they spend in his cause saying AND WHATEVER GOOD YOU SPEND, ALLAH WILL REPLACE IT AND ALLAH IS THE BEST OF THE PROVIDERS”

The believers and disbelievers said that Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him used to spend like someone who does not fear poverty.  This is because Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him totally trusted Allah’s promise so he did not fear poverty.

Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him trusted Allah’s promise to support him and the believers provided they are righteous, saying: “IT IS OUR OBLIGATION TO SUPPORT THE BELIEVERS”.

And: “WHEN YOU SUPPORT ALLAH, ALLAH WILL SUPPORT YOU”.

Victory is never achieved by numbers and military might alone, but with strong faith, Allah’s support and the Muslims patience and perseverance in battle.  Allah the Highest said: “IF THERE ARE TWENTY PATIENT AND PERSEVERING OF YOU, THEY DEFEAT TWO HUNDRED, AND IF THERE IS A HUNDRED OF YOU THEY DEFEAT A THOUSAND OF THE DISBELIERS, THIS IS BECAUSE THEY PEOPLE OF NO UNDERSTANDING”.  (S:8 A:65)

Therefore the Muslims did not turn their backs on much larger armies in battle.  In Badr, they fought an army 3 times their number and defeated them.  In Ohud, they fought an army three times their numbers and defeated them until they disobeyed Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him, then they lost.

In Moata, the Muslim’s army was 3000 and fought a Roman army of 200 000 for three days, then withdraw on the fourth day.

In Qadesiah, 36 000 Muslims faced a Persian army of 250 000 soldiers and defeated them.

In Yarmook, 30 000 Muslims faced 200 000 Roman soldiers and defeated them.

The Muslims trusted and were certain of Allah’s promises to them if they believe and obey, therefore Allah the Highest was their supporter and gave them victory.

Trusting Allah the Highest leads to expecting all good things from him.  Allah the Highest said in the Hadith Qudsi: “I am as my slave expects of me”.  However, one should be a good obedient slave to Allah before having such positive expectations”.

Allah’s slaves, every one should have total trust and certainty in Allah’s promises to the believers.  They should however fulfil what is demanded of them of worship and in dealing with each other.  No one should then fear anyone other Allah the Highest who said : “IS’NT ALLAH SUFFICIENT FOR HIS SLAVE AND THEY THREATEN YOU WITH THOSE INFERIOR TO HIM”.

No Muslim should fear poverty he or she spend for the cause and pleasure of Allah.  Then the Muslims will be sure of having what he spent replaced and of the reward in the Hereafter as well.

Whenever a slave is trusting His Lord, he or she should not fear anyone else or fear for his provisions and will never have this life only as his main concern.
